Locality Lead Pharmacist, West Hampshire CCG
Liz is a lead pharmacist with West Hampshire CCG where she manages a team of clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians providing medicines optimisation services in general medical practices. She has a special interest in quality improvement work in primary care and has participated in several national collaboratives to enhance patient safety and experience of medicines. Within the CCG she leads on optimising medicines and deprescribing problematic drugs in the context of inappropriate polypharmacy, especially in the frail elderly. She is an accredited TARGET Antibiotics Train the Trainer and leads on Antimicrobial Stewardship for the CCG Medicines Optimisation Team.
