Director, Global Health, Nesta Challenges
Daniel leads Global Health at Nesta Challenges and manages the Longitude Prize on AMR, which is a £10 million project to incentivise the development of a rapid diagnostic test to improve the use of antibiotics. In December 2021, with co-author Prof Sabiha Essack, he published “Global access to existing and future antimicrobials and diagnostics: antimicrobial subscription and pooled procurement” in Lancet Global Health. Previously, Daniel has consulted for the World Health Organization in Ethiopia and worked at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) for more than 16 years. He is currently a Trustee for QUAMED, a Belgian NGO focused on medicines quality.
