Dr Katja Fromm, Senior Scientist in Cell Biology, Resistell

Katja joined the team of Resistell as a Senior Scientist in Cell Biology in 2022 to establish a nanomotion-based drug-sensitivity test for cancer cells. This technology is based on Resistell’s ultra-rapid antibiotic susceptibility testing platform. She is highly involved in the R&D of the technology, collaborating closely with engineers and data scientists at Resistell AG.

Katja completed her PhD in Microbiology with focus on Bartonella effector proteins and immune system modulation at the Biozentrum in Basel in 2021. She continued as a Postdoctoral fellow at the Biozentrum, where she acquired a wide knowledge of the physiology of host-pathogen interactions.
