Dr Oskar Ekelund

Oskar Ekelund, ID physician and medical microbiologist, is heading the Department of Clinical Microbiology in Växjö, Sweden, including the EUCAST Development Lab and has a particular interest in antimicrobial resistance and susceptibility testing. At present he is working with flow cytometry as a tool for rapid phenotypic susceptibility testing. Oskar has also been working with the WHO within the project for resistance surveillance in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (CAESAR).
