Professor Carolyn Tarrant

Prof Carolyn Tarrant is lead of the Social Science Applied to Healthcare Improvement Research (SAPPHIRE) Group, University of Leicester, UK. She is a social scientist with expertise in qualitative methods, including ethnographic methods in applied healthcare research. She has conducted research on antibiotic overuse in acute medical patients internationally, and on implementation of improvement programmes for healthcare associated infections and sepsis. She is Assistant Editor for the journals BMJ Quality & Safety.
